The Gananoque Brewing Company is launching Bell Ringer IPA, a west coast-style IPA, just in time to ring in the New Year.
“Our brewery is being built in an historic building with a bell tower -- and a bell that really works,” said Bruce Davis, president of the Gananoque Brewing Company. “So we knew we had to have a beer called Bell Ringer. This beer packs a taste wallop. It is super hoppy, unfiltered, very raw.”
Bell Ringer IPA is being released in Toronto and Gananoque/Kingston in January, 2014, with pre-release distribution at selected licensee locations. This beer replaces Train Wreck Strong Ale in the company’s portfolio. At 6.5% ABV the beer is lower in alcohol than Train Wreck but has all of the taste that customers have come to expect from GBC.
The beer was brewed in Niagara under contract with Niagara’s Best Brewery and Pub Inc. but production of this beer will be shifted to Gananoque once the brewery is operational in early 2014.
